Why MacroBrief exists?
Making macroeconomics easier to catch on
Hello, world! MacroBrief is a small Canada based project built around a simple idea: tracking a country’s macro stance shouldn’t require a PhD… or twelve tabs. We’re building MacroBrief for two kinds of people: 1. Professionals who need to connect the dots fast (policy rate, inflation, jobs, growth, yield curves), and; 2. Newcomers who want the basics without the noise. Our approach is data-first, source-aware, and intentionally non-ideological. Short explanations, reusable snapshots, and links to what we’re using so you can verify, disagree, or go deeper. On the team side: we stay intentionally low-profile. Not to be mysterious but just because the method matters more than names. We also want collaboration to be part of the product: economists, researchers, analysts, builders, if you write in a neutral, evidence-based way, you’re welcome here and we would like you to blog with us. Our goal is simple; more clarity, more perspective, less confusion, whenever you think macro. All the best for 2026, MacroBrief
